The Welsh Government acknowledges that childcare poses a significant hurdle for working families in Wales. The initiative targets working parents with children aged between 3 and 4 years old. Qualified individuals can benefit from The Childcare Offer for Wales, which provides 20 hours of free childcare per week during term-time and 30 hours per week during half-terms. Tap to apply now

Universal credit

If you qualify for Universal Credit, you could potentially receive reimbursement for as much as 85% of your childcare expenses. Typically, you (and your partner, if applicable) will need to meet one of the following criteria: be employed—regardless of the number of hours worked—or have a job offer. Tax Free Childcare

You have the opportunity to receive a maximum of £500 every three months (equivalent to £2,000 annually) per child to assist with childcare expenses. If you opt for Tax-Free Childcare, the government will contribute £2 for every £8 you pay your childcare provider.
